2014 CSA Week 3: June 17th-June 22nd

Thank you for becoming a member of our family farm! This week, look out for mixed field greens, tuscan or red russian kale, yellow and green zucchini, yellow crookneck squash, red candy onions, sweet white onions, and an array of fresh herbs which may include tarragon, italian basil, mint or lemon basil, and sage in Traditional CSA shares. In our on-farm store, we will have the following items for your selection — yellow zucchini, yellow crookneck squash, green zucchini, red candy onions, sweet white onions, tarragon,italian basil, mint, lemon basil, sage, flower bouquets, fresh eggs, local handmade soap, local honey, rainbow chard, and squash blossoms. Important Farm Information
CSABucks Members & Members Picking Up at Fair Oaks – This week, the farm store will be open on Friday, 3-6pm, and Sunday, 12-4pm.
Traditional CSA Members— Please don’t forget to leave an empty bag at your drop site when you come to collect your share each week so we can fill it with the next week’s share!
CSA Delivery Schedule for Traditional CSA Members — Due to high summer temperatures, CSA Shares will be available at certain designated drop sites at 6pm rather than 4pm. This change affects the following stops: Centreville, Hollin Hills, Arlington and Cleveland Park. The revised pick-up schedule for Traditional CSA Members is listed below.
- Fair Oaks Farm (23718 New Mountain Road) Aldie, VA – Sundays from 12pm – 4pm.
- Centreville, VA (13814 Ashington Court) – Sundays from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm.
- Alexandria, VA (2209 White Oaks Drive) – Tuesdays from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
- Arlington, VA (3300 North Columbus Street) – Tuesdays from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
- Cleveland Park, DC (3708 Albermarle Street, NW) – Tuesdays from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
- East Lynn Farm (19955 Airmont Road) Round Hill, VA – Fridays from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Finally, thanks to those who dropped off food scraps for our chickens. We will gladly take more! A big thanks from the chickens themselves!
