Saving the Farm
East Lynn Farm, which dates back to the early 1800s, is one of Loudoun County’s oldest working farms. It sits on 143 acres nestled between the beautiful Bull Run and Blue Ridge Mountains with breathtaking views of both. A plan to subdivide the property into fourteen 10-acre tracts was put in place about a decade ago. Part of that plan was to demolish the historic farmhouse. Happily, the property was then placed in a Conservation Easement to preserve it in perpetuity and the farmhouse, which had been condemned, was lovingly restored and brought back to its original splendor by the current owners. After laying dormant for almost a decade, the fields and pastures are now being cultivated and restored as well.
