Weddings and Events Facilities Representatives

East Lynn Farm, a historic and sustainable working farm in Round Hill, Virginia, is looking for several hard-working, reliable, and professional staff members who would be responsible for hospitality and site operations during East Lynn Farm’s weddings and special events. This position includes acting as a liaison among client(s), East Lynn Farm, and outside vendors. The Facilities Representative would assist with event set-up, oversee parking, ensure the smooth operations and execution of events, and breakdown at the end of each event. The Facilities Representative would arrive on site prior to the commencement of an event and remain on site until the conclusion of the event and the departure of all guests and vendors. As with most things in the hospitality industry, events occur on weekends, so interested applicants must be able to work on weekends.

Experience in hospitality and events a plus. Excellent inter-personal skills, self-starter and positive, professional attitude a must. References required.

Apprentices, Summer Interns, and Seasonal Part-/Full-Time Horticulture, and Farming Assistants

East Lynn Farm, a historic and sustainable working farm in Round Hill, Virginia, is looking for hard-working, self-starting, and positive-thinking eager beavers to provide assistance with both horticulture and livestock farming operations. The farm’s livestock includes black angus cattle, sheep, donkeys, chickens, goats, and a horse.

Farm and gardening experience is helpful, but not essential. Love of nature, sustainable farming, and being outdoors is a must!

This position is for $10 per hour, starting rate.

Horse Caretaker

Small farm in Middleburg, Virginia is looking for someone to care for Thoroughbred Mare. Looking for mature, experienced, loving person to assist with typical farm duties, like mucking stalls, feeding, watering, exercise, grooming, and general horse management and handling. Must be able to confidently handle a horse and have past experience with this type of labor and responsibility. A confident/experienced rider is required, as duties include the regular exercise of the horse. Only applicants that have previous riding and horse handling experience and reliable transportation will be considered.

This position is for $10 per hour, starting rate, or the farm is willing to board your mare in exchange for caring for our horse.
