In the fall, the famed International Gold Cup Races takes place in The Plains, VA; in early May there is the Virginia Gold Cup, also in The Plains. In early June the Upperville Colt and Horse Show takes place in nearby Upperville, VA. This is only a small sampling of the many Loudoun equestrian activities offered throughout the year.
